Anyway, in our lesson today, we learned a new one that I really like.
Apparently, rice cake in Hangul is, which is basically pronounced "dawg."
So, of course, Sadie has a new nickname.

Ok, maybe you had to be there. But we thought it was funny.

ReplyDeleteHow are you going to celebrate Christmas?
ReplyDeleteShe'll live. :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Aunt Babs! Well, we're actually going to Taipei, Taiwan this weekend, and then for Christmas day we're having dinner with one of the other expat families here in Yeosu. Probably not a very traditional dinner, but you can be sure it will be American food! We have small artificial tree in the apartment, and lights wrapped around the curtain rod in the living room, and we've been playing Christmas music pretty much every night for a couple weeks now. We have plans to Skype in for Christmas with both of our families' Christmas gatherings, including an annual viewing of White Christmas. This is the first Christmas away from home for both of us, so it won't be easy. But we're determined to make the best of it!
